The NOVA.16 (Model SK-MRCP-LE) is a highly sophisticated yet simple to use multi-reader access control panel, based on the powerful ARM Cortex M3, 32-bit RISC processor, providing a major technology upgrade to Secura Key’s legacy SK-NET system. The NOVA.16 connects to the host PC via the local area network using its built-in Ethernet connection, and it also connects to a high speed RS485 peripheral network consisting of up to 16 single-door Smart Readers.

The NOVA.16 can also connect to the host PC via its RS-232 or RS-485 communications ports. The NOVA.16’s 16-door capacity fully addresses the needs of the typical new access control system. Expansion is easy and inexpensive: Smart Readers can be added to a NOVA.16 to control additional doors and additional NOVA.16’s can be added to the LAN, or NOVA.16s can be daisy chained together over an RS485 network.

NOVA.16 will control access for up to 65,535 individuals in 15 weekly time schedules (Time Zones) independently for each controlled door. Time Zones include a holiday schedule that is followed when one of the 32 user programmable holidays occur.

Up to 10,000 transactions are stored by the unit and may be downloaded to a PC, or serial printer. Since the NOVA.16 has nonvolatile memory, reprogramming after a power loss is unnecessary.
